Hetuada Cement Industries LTD (HCIL), established in BS 2033 Ashwin 13 under Company Act 2021, is an undertaking of HMG/Nepal. The plant has an annual production capacity of 260000 MT of Cement and was installed with a loan assistance from Asian Development Bank (ADB). It commenced its commercial production since December 1985.

    4. Marketing of Cement all over the country was done through three Government's agency namely National Trading Ltd., Sajha Bhandar and Tara Gaon Bikash Samiti and 62 private dealers. At present about 270 dealers are engaged in sales & distribution of cement. The year wise sales of cement are as follows:

5. HCIL has paid total amount of Rs.1,141,351,358,120 in form of excise duty and sales tax/VAT till the fiscal year 2001/02 (upto 30th November, 2001).

8. Rehabilitation Programme:
The economic life of cement machinery and mobile quarry equipment is 18 and 5 years respectivetly. As cement production started in fiscal year 2042/43, almost all machines require rehabilitation, which needs huge capital. Therefor, HCIL has planned to do rehabilitation work in various fiscal years. In the current fiscal year part of the burning system and quarry equipment will be rehabilitated. Additionally, a study will be conducted for rehabilitation of ESP Great Cooler and cyclone.
9. HCIL with its own resources and in house expertise started development work at Okhare quarry having better grade of limestone and it is planned to deliver the limestone from main quarry in the next fiscal year.
